Who uses what, and what for?

The use and application of Mottram’s materials are wide and varied: Casting: cylinder heads, cylinder blocks, wheels, pistons, manifolds, breaking systems and other automotive uses. Specialist alloys: marine and aerospace industry. Steel: deoxidants in steel production. These products scavenge the melt to remove the oxygen. Various shapes, sizes and specifications are produced to deliver the Aluminium to where it is needed in its most effective way possible. Aluminium and Ferro-Aluminium are both used for this purpose. Pre-alloyed binary solutions are offered for the addition of Copper, Magnesium, Iron, Silicon, Manganese, Nickel, Chrome and Titanium in controlled amounts. These master alloy products are generally used in the wrought industry for the production of Bar, Plate, Tube, Foil, Extrusion, Sheet and wire. These products are used extensively in the Electrical, Building, Construction, Packaging, Food, Automotive and Aerospace industries.
